Bob Barr, J.D. – Privacy as an Underpinning of Objectivism and the Bill of Rights

Ayn Rand, one of the 20th Century's great philosophers, understood the importance of privacy to the underpinnings of freedom, as did the Framers of our Bill of Rights nearly 200 years before her. The centrality of the right to privacy as a cornerstone of civilization itself is precisely why the recent and ongoing erosion of this fundamental is so disturbing, and why it must be resisted strongly. Congressman Barr's presentation will discuss the importance of privacy rights at the core of liberty, highlight ways in which freedom is being decimated by erosion of our privacy rights, and how we might reverse this trend.

Bob Barr represented the 7th District of Georgia in the U. S. House of Representatives from 1995 to 2003. He is President and CEO of Liberty Strategies, LLC, a public policy consulting firm.
